MERIT CASE STUDY
Delta Health Alliance
Creating a lasting community of medical professionals in the Mississippi Delta region
CHALLENGE
This non-profit wanted to deliver relevant job opportunities to healthcare and early childhood education program graduates from local universities and community colleges, in order to curb unemployment while keeping talent in the Delta region.
MERIT’S SOLUTION
Merit’s verified program completion records are used to directly connect recently-graduated professionals with top regional employers hiring for relevant, in-demand positions.
WITHOUT MERIT
Agencies and organizations often rely on legacy communication methods, such as random newsletters or generalized signage at events, that fail to connect with qualified candidates. The lack of a convenient and secure way for students and workers to carry and rapidly verify credentials leads to lost opportunities.
POSSIBLE FUNDING SOURCES
- Federal and/or state grant(s)
- Legislation such as WIOA or the American Rescue Plan
- Direct contracts
OVERVIEW
