In the field of architecture, it’s rare that professionals are able to find every resource they need and every available career opportunity all in one, easily-accessible place. Some opportunities, like an entry in this year’s Design Awards or new virtual continuing education (CE) courses may have gone unseen by architects because of a lack of exposure — especially for those not a part of organizations like the American Institute of Architects (AIA). These different opportunities are usually found in a variety of places, making it complicated to keep up with what’s available. ‘Opportunities’ is Merit’s latest app feature that addresses and mends this ongoing challenge for architects.
Using an individual’s verified achievements, credentials, and licenses, Merit Opportunities provides a curated list of opportunities from related organizations. These organizations can share architectural opportunities such as a job working on a community design project, CE courses on designing with different materials, discounts on sketching tools, and much more. Qualified professionals will be notified by the Merit app as soon as the opportunity becomes available, and be able to quickly find and look through them later.
With this new feature, architects will discover more ways to network, earn their next credential, and progress their careers with opportunities posted by verified organizations in the industry. Merit has already partnered with AIA of Richmond and AIA of Virginia, with plans to continue expanding in order to bring career opportunities and industry events to licensed professionals.
The secure Merit app and easy-to-use attributes of Merit Opportunities will eliminate the tedious website searches, emails, and even postal mail that architects often have to endure. Their hard-earned credentials will be in the palm of their hand whenever they need to verify a license or check into an event.
With Merit, organizations have a place to better showcase their services and share important updates. To learn more about Merit and the partnership with the architectural field, please visit merits.com/opportunities.
