Back to Work RI + Merit
Back to Work RI offers services and tools to help Rhode Islanders whose employment was impacted by COVID-19. The Department of Labor and Training has partnered with Merit to provide easier access to this program through a free mobile app.
Jobs and Career Training
Employment options and training are available in dozens of sectors across Rhode Island, including construction, finance, hospitality, manufacturing, technology, and more. You can see job opportunities for which you qualify in the Merit app.
Supportive Services
Available supportive services include assistance with child care, transportation, bill payments, medical expenses, groceries, resources for legal assistance, counseling, personal finance, and more. See a complete list of available services at rinavigator.org and access specific opportunities for which you qualify in the app.

HOW IT WORKS
Any Rhode Islander whose employment has been impacted by COVID-19 is eligible to participate in Back to Work RI.
Step 2
You’ll receive digital credentials or “merits” representing your employment history and skills.
Step 3
Your merits qualify you for supportive services or job opportunities found in the Merit app.
