Under general supervision, this position is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of fire hydrants throughout the water distribution system. Serves as lead worker. Reports to a Water Distribution Operations Coordinator.
There are two (2) levels of Maintenance Mechanic distinguished by the level of work performed and the qualifications of the employee.
